The shore near Howard Murph Memorial Park in Rockport, TX is filled with seashells. I arrived at the location during low tide and decided to incorporate them into my photograph of the setting sun. I knew that the cloud formations were going to be decent that evening but I had not looked into the low tide. I now incorporate that into my planning process when photographing near large bodies of water like the Gulf of Mexico.
This image was taken with my Canon EOS 5DS using my Canon EF 16-35mm f/4 Lens set on 16mm. The camera was set on Manual mode with the aperture set at f/11, shutter speed at one second and the ISO set at 100. I used a tripod for stability. This is a single image processed in Lightroom and finalized in Photoshop using Nik Color Efex Pro.

Hope the break is not too long!
That had to be a difficult decision but hopefully the (short) vacation is helpful.
I hope it’s not too long either. :)
