Copano Bay Sunset

I captured this Copano Bay Sunset from the Howard Murph Memorial Park during my recent trip to Rockport, Texas. Unfortunately, Copano Bay is the only western-facing body of water where you can photograph the sunset, and, this is the only section of Copano Bay that is accessible to the public. The rest of the land along Highway 1781 is private land and only accessible with permission from the homeowner. I was not about to go door-to-door asking so I decided to return to this familiar place to photograph the sunset. The colors this evening were amazing. They were even better after the sun completely set. I actually gave up too early and packed my stuff up before I should have. I learned a valuable lesson to just be patient and wait.

This image was taken with my Canon EOS 5DS using my Canon EF 16-35mm f/4 Lens set on 16mm. The camera was set on Manual mode with the aperture set at f/14, shutter speed at one half of a second and the ISO set at 100. I used a tripod for stability. This is a single image processed in Lightroom and finalized in Photoshop using Nik Color Efex Pro.
