I normally don’t like to post wide and narrow panoramas as they tend to be difficult to view, however, I decided to post this South Rim Panorama so you could get a feel for what a sunrise at the top of the South Rim at Big Bend National Park looks like. They say that “A picture is worth a thousand words” but the reality is that there are no words to describe how majestic the view was. This photograph does not do it justice.
This image was taken with my Canon EOS 5DS using my Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8 Lens set on 53mm. The camera was set on Manual mode with the aperture set at f/8, shutter speed at 1/40th of a second and the ISO set at 100. I used a tripod for stability. I captured ten images and stitched the panorama together using Lightroom. I then finalized in Photoshop using Nik Color Efex Pro.

I think it does it some justice. I like this one and I think wide/narrow works for it. Difficult to view on monitors perhaps but I think it would print/frame well. Great colors. REally like the balance and detail you have in the “foreground”
Thanks Lucas! Yes, it’s mostly a monitor thing. It does give you an idea of the expanse!
