This “Long Reflection” image is another image from my downtown Austin photowalk during the spring of 2012. This is the Long Center for the Performing Arts building as seen from the Palmer Events Center next door. The pond is part of Butler Park which is home to both facilities. I noticed that the pond was perfectly still so I headed over to shoot the Long Center from that vantage point and capture its reflection in the pond.
This image was taken with my Canon EOS 5D Mark II using my Canon EF16-35mm f/2.8 Lens set on 27 mm. The camera was set on Aperture Priority mode with the aperture set at f/8, shutter speed at 3.2 seconds and the ISO at 100. I took a total of 3 bracketed images (-2, 0, +2) and used Photomatix to create a single HDR image. I completed my post processing work in Photoshop.
