About a month ago I posted a story about the Campfire Cowboy and the an encounter I had with Lea Jones (Gila Wilderness Outfitter) at the Blue Front Cafe in Glenwood, NM back in the summer of 1999. I mentioned that she asked me to consider trading some photography work for a week-long ride on horseback during her next corporate customer outing. The image below was one of the images I captured during this trip. I noticed that peopled settled in for a nap shortly after lunch one day so I grabbed my camera and went around the campground photographing when I ran across our trail boss taking a nap. I thought that the composition of this sleeping cowboy with the log was a great one so I took this image.

This image was taken with my using my Canon EOS AE2 with Ektachrome slide film. I did not record the individual settings. The slide film processing was done by a local camera shop. I scanned these images using my slide scanner. I fixed some of the issues caused by the scanner in Lightroom.
