I had a chance to take a guided tour of the Buffalo City Hall building yesterday. The tour was very enlightening and it was great to hear the background of many of the structures in the building. The statue in the image is titled Diligence. It is one of the four statues adorning the lobby. Each of the four statues represent the characteristic of good citizenship, Virtue, Diligence, Service, and Fidelity. There are also four corridors off the lobby, each holding colorful murals depicting Buffalo’s industry. Notice the familiar symbol in the upper-left-corner? Well, it’s not what you think. It’s a native american symbol which represents the four winds.
I highly recommend touring this amazing piece of architecture when visiting the Nickel City.
This image was taken with my Sony A7R II using my Sony FE 24-70mm f/4 Lens set on 63mm. The camera was set on Manual mode with the aperture set at f/4, shutter speed at 1/60th of a second and the ISO set at 1600. I hand held the camera for this image. This is a single image processed in Lightroom and completed in Photoshop using Nik Color Efex Pro.
