Another Big Bend Bluebonnet

Another Big Bend Bluebonnet photographed along the Grapevine Hills Trail in Big Bend National Park. I was on my way back from photographing the sunrise at Balanced Rock when I spotted a patch of Texas Wildflowers. This one particular flower stood above the rest. I was able to leverage the other bluebonnets and Desert Marigolds for a nice, soft background.

This image was taken with my Canon EOS 6D Mark II using my Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L Macro Lens. The camera was set on Manual mode with the aperture set at f/4, shutter speed at 1/640th of a second and the ISO set at 400. I used a tripod for stability and my Kirk Focusing Rail to obtain 11 images which I brought together into one image using Photoshop and the focus stacking technique. I then finalized the image in Photoshop using Nik Color Efex Pro.
