Nakalele Blowhole

I normally don’t post photographs that I take in the middle of a sunny day but this geological feature on the coast of Maui is quite impressive. The Nakalele Blowhole is located on the northwestern side of the island of Maui. A short hike from the highway leads to this amazing geological feature that has some very interesting lava rock formations. One of the formations near the blowhole is in the shape of a heart. I posted a photo of that formation a few years ago. You can access that photo by clicking here.  I highly recommend seeing this landmark if you travel to this beautiful island.

This image was taken with my Sony Alpha A7S Mirrorless Camera using my Sony FE 24-70mm Lens set on 24mm. The camera was set on Aperture Priority mode with the aperture set at f/9, shutter speed at 1/200th of a second and the ISO set at 100. I used a tripod for stability. This is a single image processed in Lightroom and completed in Photoshop using Nik Color Efex Pro.
