This photograph was taken a few minutes before the one I posted yesterday. Same location, but a few feet to the left. As I mentioned yesterday, the spring season two years ago offered-up a very colorful desert floor. The only thing missing in this photograph is a flowering prickly pear cactus. I continue to return to Big Bend with hopes that I will see this wonderful scene again. I hear it’s a once in a lifetime event.
This image was taken with my Canon EOS 5D Mark III using my Canon EF 24-105f/4L Lens set on 24 mm. The camera was set on Aperture priority mode with the aperture set at f/11, shutter speed at 1/320th of a second and the ISO set at 1600. This is a single image processed in Lightroom and finalized in Photoshop using Nik Color Efex Pro.
