I mentioned in yesterday’s post that I took part of a photography workshop in the Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks last week. Each day was filled with adventure and we visited dozens of locations where we photographed landscapes and wildlife. One of the stops along the way was at the Chapel of the Sacred Heart. The Chapel, located on Jackson Lake, is part of the Roman Catholic Church. It was built in 1937 and features a rustic wood interior with a stained glass window of the Sacred Heart. This location as well as the nearby Chapel of the Transfiguration are great wedding venues. I highly recommend visiting the chapel when in the area.
This image was taken with my Canon EOS 5DS using my Canon EF 16-35mm f/4 Lens set on 16 mm. The camera was set on Aperture Priority mode with the aperture set at f/10, shutter speed at 5 seconds and the ISO set at 400. This is a series of three bracketed images (-1, 0, +1) brought together using Lightroom. I finalized the image using Nik Color Efex Pro.

Love the color. Had to be pretty dark in there. Great job balancing the window exposure.
Thanks Lucas. Yes, it was quite dark. I didn’t want to lose the detail in the window so I started there and work backwards on the exposure.

(If that is not a sad commentary on current society….)
