I was in Maui in the fall of 2014 to attend a friend’s wedding. I took the image below of the wedding venue following the wedding ceremony.
While on a trail in Maui at the Haleakala NP, I noticed that the Pipiwai Stream paralleling the trail was incredibly saturated in green.
I purchased a set of Lee Neutral Density (ND) Filters earlier this year. I used them to extend the exposure time to create a smooth surf.
Another image from my trip to Maui earlier this year. I was hiking along the Pipiway Stream and I found this area with the steps and this mossy rock.
I was walking up the trail towards the waterfall when I spotted this magnificent portion of the Pipiwai Stream.
While in Maui last spring, I spent time hiking the trails near the Pools at Ohe’o along the Pipiwai Stream, through the wonderful bamboo forest and ending at the Waimoku Falls.
Photographing sunsets is a difficult task. It gets easier if you can catch the last rays of light. This was the case when I captured this “Volcanic Sunset”.
I was invited to attend a wedding in Maui during the fall of 2014. The island is one of my favorite places to visit. Its lush vegetation, wonderful vistas and the plethora of activity options makes this a wonderful vacation spot for many people.
