Long Fulton Beach Dock

I travel to the Rockport, Texas area occasionally, and when I do, I make it a point to photograph the private fishing docks along Fulton Beach Road. My last trip to the area was in February and that’s when I photographed this Long Fulton Beach dock. As you might recall from some of my other posts, the weather was dreadful. Wind, rain, and cold made it difficult for capturing good photos. I decided to use a photography style that would best capture the scene as I experienced it.

Fulton Beach Dock

This image was taken with my Sony A7R IV using my Sony FE 16-35mm f/2.8 Lens set on 22mm. The camera was set on Manual mode with the aperture set at f/11, shutter speed at 25 seconds, and ISO set at 100. I used a 6-stop Lee filter to extend the exposure time and a Circular Polarizing Filter to minimize the glare on the water. I also used a tripod for stability given the long exposure. This is a single image processed in Lightroom and completed in Photoshop using Nik Silver Efex Pro.
