A bee serving as an Eastern Purple Coneflower pollinator at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center in Austin, TX. I photographed this flower and bee shortly after photographing the Coneflower that I posted last week. Trying to do a focus stack with an insect is nearly impossible so I decided that a single photo was my best chance of capturing the scene.
This image was taken with my Canon EOS 6D Mark II using my Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L Macro Lens. The camera was set on Manual mode with the aperture set at f/11, shutter speed at 1/10th of a second and the ISO set at 100. I used a tripod for stability. This is a single image processed in Lightroom and finalized in Photoshop using Nik Color Efex Pro.
