A View of Santa Elena

I posted a photograph a couple of days ago that I captured from the other side of this window. That photograph looked out onto Castellon Mountain. This vantage point has a nice view of Santa Elena Canyon. I was hoping for better clouds but they fizzled out as the sun went below the horizon. Nonetheless, I could not help but imagine how the Dorgan family enjoyed their mornings and evenings by looking out to such a wonderful landscape. I highly recommend hiking up the Dorgan-Sublett trail to view both the Dorgan and Sublett homesteads. The views from this location are amazing.

This image was taken with my Canon EOS 5DS using my Canon EF 16-35mm f/4 Lens set on 16 mm. The camera was set on Manual mode with the aperture set at f/10, shutter speed at 1/13th of a second and the ISO set at 100. I used a tripod for stability. This is a single image processed in Lightroom and completed in Photoshop using Nik Color Efex Pro.
