Hot Lake Walkway

The Hot Lake Walkway leads to Hot Lake in Yellowstone National Park. Hot lake is probably the most “normal” looking water feature in the Park. Aside from it being a hot spring, it did not have the colorful features that were present in many of the other geothermal sites. Its lack of popularity was evident by the low number of visitors at the lake. Hot Lake is located just off of Firehole Lake Drive. It’s worth a visit if you happen to be in the area.

This image was taken with my Canon EOS 5DS using my Canon EF 16-35mm f/4 Lens set on 16 mm. The camera was set on Manual mode with the aperture set at f/16, shutter speed at 1/10th of a second and the ISO set at 100. I used a tripod for stability. This is a single image processed in Lightroom then finalized in Photoshop using Nik Color Efex Pro.
