This coastal sunset photograph is another photo from my trip to Rockport, TX last February. It was taken a couple of minutes before the photo of the The Photographer who was capturing the same sunset. For some reason the sunsets on the coastal areas are much more dramatic than those inland. In addition, the coastal sunsets have a thick layer of dense particles close to the surface. I don’t see that thick layer when I photograph inland sunsets.
This image was taken with my Sony A7R II using my Sony FE 24-70mm f/4 Lens set on 24 mm. The camera was set on Manual mode with the aperture set at f/8, shutter speed at 1/2 seconds and the ISO set at 50. This is a single image processed in Lightroom and Color Efex Pro.
