I made a trip to Buffalo, NY in June of 2015 to attend a family event. Having arrived a few days before the event, we took advantage of our time and went site seeing around Buffalo. One of the stops was to Our Lady of Victory Basilica in the southern part of the city (actually in Lackawanna, NY). This Basilica was founded by the famous Father Nelson Baker. During one of my daily walks I saw a tee shirt that said “Scared Straight by Father Baker”. I take it that Father Baker was quite the disciplinarian. The Basilica was a wonderful work of architecture and craftsmanship. The ornate elements of the church are phenomenal. I highly recommend visiting the church while in the area.
This image was taken with my SONY ILCE-7M2 using my FE 24-70mm F4 ZA OSS set on 24 mm. The camera was set on Aperture priority mode with the aperture set at f/8, shutter speed at 1/2 second at ISO 100. I took a total of 5 bracketed images (-2, -1, 0, +1, +2) and used the HDR technique to process it. I completed my processing in Photoshop and Lightroom.
