A trio of Yellowstone Casualties along the Fountain Paint Pot Nature Trail in Yellowstone National Park. This area has quite a few lodgepole pine trees that could no longer tolerate the toxic waters that flow nearby.
Our photography workshop group searched for a "Lone Tree" the entire time we were in Yellowstone National Park. We finally found one on the last day. This tree is located near Soda Butte along highway 212 in the north side of the park.
One of our first stops during the "Winter in Yellowstone" photography workshop I attended was along the Tangled Creek portion of the Lower Geyser basin where we photographed trees casting shadows in the snow.
We ran across this wonderful scene of bison on the range along highway 191 on our way to photograph the Grand Prismatic Spring. What caught our eye was the ever-changing light behind the group of American Bison.
