I went to Pedernales Falls State Park to photograph the sunset. Instead, I ended up photographing the great moonrise occurring behind me.
The moon was full the other evening and I have been thinking about capturing a series of moons using my intervalometer. This photo is the outcome.
Sometimes the best shot is not in front of you but behind you. This was the case the other day when I was shooting some flowers around the house. I turned around and saw this fantastic moon.
I noticed the bright, full moon one summer night in 2006. I recall the moon was as bright as I had seen in quite some time. So, I ran to get my camera, the longest lens I had and my sturdiest tripod.
