Bacterial mats along the Fountain Paint Pot Nature Trail in the Lower Geyser Basin of Yellowstone National Park. I'm always fascinated by many color hues in these mats.

One of our first stops during the "Winter in Yellowstone" photography workshop I attended was along the Tangled Creek portion of the Lower Geyser basin where we photographed trees casting shadows in the snow.

Simplicity
