The best sunset spot in Rockport Texas is at Howard Murph Memorial Park, which overlooks the Copano Bay. There is a spot just South of the park entrance that leads to a lookout where you can see an old Pier. This is where I photographed the Old Pier on Copano Bay. I have spent a fair amount of time photographing the sunset here and I always enjoy the amazing sunsets as well as the solitude and tranquility that this spot offers.
This image was taken with my Sony A7R IV using my Sony FE 16-35mm f/2.8 Lens set on 21mm. The camera was set on Manual mode with the aperture set at f/14, shutter speed at 25 seconds, and ISO set at 100. I used a 6-stop Lee filter to extend the exposure time and a Circular Polarizing Filter to minimize the glare on the water. I also used a tripod for stability given the long exposure. This is a single image processed in Lightroom and completed in Photoshop using Nik Photo Efex 7.
