While shooting the Old Pier on Copano Bay, I noticed that the tree that I photographed so many times had broken away from the bank, fallen into the water and died. It was a bit of a sad moment as I had used this tree repeatedly for a foreground while photographing the sunset. Now it becomes a Fallen Tree at Copano Bay and it lives on in the digital photography world but in a new setting. One of my favorite photos was taken in February, 2020, right before the pandemic broke out. You can see that photo here.
This image was taken with my Sony A7R IV using my Sony FE 16-35mm f/2.8 Lens set on 21mm. The camera was set on Manual mode with the aperture set at f/11, shutter speed at 30 seconds, and ISO set at 100. I used a 6-stop Lee filter to extend the exposure time and a Circular Polarizing Filter to minimize the glare on the water. I also used a tripod for stability given the long exposure. This is a single image processed in Lightroom and completed in Photoshop using Nik Photo Efex 7.
