I decided to try this one after one of my friends inquired about it. It is taken from a parking garage near Zilker Park. Access was\u00a0not so easy. I\u00a0encountered a nice security guard who inquired about my\u00a0presence there. Fortunately, I knew\u00a0a few friends in the complex so I was able to talk my way through the situation and I was\u00a0allowed to stay.<\/p>\n<p>Photographers return to the same location often. Conditions change and a photograph that looked mediocre one day can look amazing the next. I&#8217;ve been posting many photos of the Austin skyline lastly. \u00a0I have been taking advantage of the varying cloud formations to photograph the skyline. I&#8217;m still in search for the best ever shot. Ansel Adams repeatedly visited Yosemite National Park with the same intent. These visits provided him with the intimate understanding necessary to pre-visualize many of his iconic images of the park.\u00a0As photographers, it is important to identify an ideal location and repeatedly return there\u00a0until we\u00a0capture the image we visualized. For this one, I visualize a nice sunrise on the left side of the skyline\u00a0with great cloud structures behind, or, a sunset with a nice thunderstorm building behind the skyline. The camera was set on\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/tkahler.com\/blog\/glossary\/aperture-priority\/\">Aperture priority<\/a>\u00a0mode with the aperture set at f\/8, shutter speed at 1\/10th of a\u00a0second and the ISO set at 100. This is a single image processed in Lightroom. I used\u00a0Photoshop and Nik Color Efex Pro to finalize the image.<\/p>\n<p>This image is best viewed large. Click on it to enlarge it.
