The city is known for its great architecture and I wanted to capture some of the famous structures while I was there. The Buffalo City Hall was high on my list so I picked an evening when the clouds were more likely to provide some color. These are probably not the most spectacular clouds but they are better than a clear-blue sky.<\/p>\n<p>The original <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Buffalo_City_Hall\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Buffalo City Hall<\/a> building was constructed\u00a0in 1875 to house both the City of Buffalo and Erie County offices.\u00a0The three-story, granite structure was designed by Rochester architect <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Andrew_Jackson_Warner\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Andrew Jackson Warner<\/a>. The Buffalo Common Council decided in 1920 that a new building should be erected as a result of the city&#8217;s monumental population growth. The new site was selected and the current building was completed in 1931. The old City Hall building was then used\u00a0as the Erie County Court\u00a0offices. The camera was set on Aperture priority mode with the aperture set at f\/10, shutter speed at 1\/25th of a second and the ISO set at 100. For this image I exposed one frame for the building and another one for the sky.
