What attracted me were the contrasting colors and textures. From the rough and dark rocky section at the top to the colorful and semi-smoth section in the middle to the silky smooth water cascading over the edge at the bottom of the frame. The only thing missing is a central figure. A nice turtle swimming across or an interesting floating object would have been nice.\u00a0That said, I do like the serenity of the photograph.<\/p>\n<p>Textures play an important role in photography. I don&#8217;t photograph textures very often but they can be rewarding when done right. Most texture photography is done at the macro level but there are many texture opportunities in landscape photography. The flow of water, geological formations and cloud formations all provide great opportunities for texture photography. Give it a try sometime.
