We decided to go on our first photo safari immediately upon arrival to our lodge. It was a great experience. We saw quite a bit of wildlife including African elephants, white rhinoceros, giraffes, zebras, African buffalo, blue wildebeests, warthogs, impalas, baboons, vervet monkeys, and also a pair of hippopotamus hanging around in a pond. The two hippos kept bobbing\u00a0up and down in the water and looking at us as if they were checking us out. We were able to witness three elephants, two rhinos and a pair of hippos at the very end of our safari tour. It was quite a show!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Hippopotamus\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hippopotamus<\/a> are amazing, huge animals. They can grow up to 7 feet tall and weigh upwards of two tons. After the elephant and rhinoceros, the hippopotamus is the third-largest type of land mammal. Rival male\u00a0hippos will often have noisy, aggressive and fearsome clashes.
