I just returned from another great trip to Big Bend National Park<\/a>. I really enjoy going to the park and I especially enjoy photographing the wonderful scenes, flowers and wildlife. I was hiking the Lost Mine Trail the other day with some friends and I noticed this wonderful Gold Cobblestone\u00a0Lichen (Acarospora socialis). Lichen covers many of the boulders and rock walls overlooking the open woodlands in the park. This gives the Chisos and Davis Mountains much character to its landscape.<\/p>\n

This image was taken with my Canon EOS 5D Mark III<\/a> using my Canon EF 100mm f\/2.8L Macro Lens<\/a>. The camera was set on Manual mode with the aperture set at f\/14, shutter speed at 1\/160 and the ISO set at 100.<\/p>\n
