It&#8217;s not only the largest member of the grass family but it is also the fastest growing plant in the world.\u00a0Certain species of bamboo can grow 3 feet within a 24-hour period.\u00a0Bamboos are of notable economic and cultural significance in parts of Asia,\u00a0being used for building materials, as a food source, and as a versatile raw product. Bamboo has a higher compressive strength than wood, brick, or concrete and a tensile strength that rivals steel. The uses of the plant in daily lives is widespread.<\/p>\n<p>I captured this image while touring the Garden of Eden in the Northeast side of Maui in the fall of 2014. I posted a Wedding Venue image the other day. The camera was set on Program\u00a0mode with the aperture set at f\/10, shutter speed at 1\/13th of a second and the ISO set at ISO 2500.
