I posted an image titled “Arches<\/a>” a couple of days ago. I decided to post an image of more arches taken during the same trip. I detailed a story about a trip to San Antonio in 2008 to capture the San Antonio Missions with one of my film cameras. Those arches were part of Mission San Jose. The arches in the image below are part of Mission Concepci\u00f3n<\/a>\u00a0(formally named\u00a0Mission Nuestra Se\u00f1ora de la Pur\u00edsima Concepci\u00f3n de Acu\u00f1a). Mission Concepci\u00f3n was established by Franciscan friars in 1716 in East Texas as a base for converting the Hasinai<\/a> indians. \u00a0It was moved from East Texas to San Antonio in 1731 to serve the\u00a0Pajalats<\/a> who spoke a Coahuiltecan<\/a> language.<\/p>\n

Located at 807 Mission Road in San Antonio, Mission Concepci\u00f3n was designated a National Historic Landmark on April 15, 1970 and is part of San Antonio Missions National Historical Park<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Mission Concepcion Arches<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

This image was taken with my using my\u00a0Mamiya 7 II<\/a>\u00a0with the Mamiya N4 80mm Lens\u00a0. The camera was set on Aperture Priority<\/a> mode, however, I don\u2019t recall the aperture and shutter speed settings. I used\u00a0Kodak Professional T-Max 400<\/a>\u00a0(400 ISO)\u00a0black and white negative film. I processed the film in my darkroom and scanned it using my Epson V750 scanner with a medium format negative tray. Final digital processing was completed in Lightroom.<\/p>\n
