I was invited by a friend of mine to be part of a\u00a0jeeping<\/a> adventure in Moab, Utah<\/a>. Although the trip was mostly a “jeeping” adventure, there were times during the day when I could go off and explore photo opportunities.\u00a0The experience was fantastic and I had a great time.<\/p>\n

Moab is an incredible place for photographers. I solicited advice from a friend who had visited the area before. He\u00a0said “look for puddles” as they make for great subjects and sometimes you can get some great reflections. Well, I found this set of puddles and decided they would make a great subject despite the fact that it was in the middle of the day. Although not reflecting the famous Moab rocks they did make for an interesting photo. So, I took my camera over to these natural carvings and captured\u00a0this image.<\/p>\n

This image was taken with my Sony A7II<\/a>\u00a0using my Sony FE 28-70mm F3.5-5.6 set on 28 mm. The camera was set on Aperture Priority<\/a> mode with the aperture set at f\/11, shutter speed at 1\/200th of a second and the\u00a0ISO set at 100. \u00a0I took 5 bracketed images (-2, -1, 0, +1, +2) and used Photomatix Pro to put together the HDR<\/a> image. \u00a0I then used Photoshop and Lightroom to finish the processing.<\/p>\n
