I mentioned in previous posts that I made a trip to Big Bend National Park<\/a> in the Southwestern part of Texas with some friends back in April of 2015. It was a great time for Texas Wildflower photography because of the constant rains. The flowers had not bloomed like this in quite some time. \u00a0We set up in an area just off the main highway to take some sunset shots and I captured this image that night. \u00a0In the foreground, you have a few Ocotillos<\/a> (long thin branches with red flowers), a few daisy varieties (yellow flowers), Creosote<\/a> Bushes (bright green bushes), Strawberry Hedgehog<\/a> Cacti (purplish flowers) as well as a bunch of other species scattered throughout. The skies were not particularly good for sunset photography that night but the flowers sure made up for the lack of sunset colors.<\/p>\n

This image was taken with my Canon EOS 5D Mark III<\/a> using my EF24-105mm f\/4L IS USM set on 24 mm. The camera was set on Aperture Priority mode with the aperture set at f\/16, and shutter speed at 1\/5 at ISO 100. I took a total of 5 bracketed images (+2, +1, 0, -1, -2) and processed them in Photomatix. \u00a0I then completed the processing in Photoshop and Lightroom.<\/p>\n
