I like to make a stop here when visiting the Big Bend area to photograph the sunset, La Cuesta is one of the few accessible areas along the Rio Grande with boulders, a sunset and a decent water flow. This spot is located just off of Farm to Market Road 170, approximately 14 miles west of Lajitas, The water volume on the Rio Grande was very low for this time of year. Lack of rain and agricultural needs diminish the water volume in the park. The camera was set on\u00a0Manual mode with the aperture set at f\/11, shutter speed at 32 seconds, and ISO set at 100. I used a tripod for stability and a 6-stop <a href=\"https:\/\/tkahler.com\/blog\/glossary\/lee-filters\/\">Neutral Density Lee Filter<\/a> to extend the exposure time.
