While shooting the Old Pier on Copano Bay, I noticed that the tree that I photographed so many times had broken away from the bank, fallen into the water and died. It was a bit of a sad moment as I had used this tree repeatedly for a foreground while photographing the sunset. Now it becomes a Fallen Tree at Copano Bay and it lives on in the digital photography world but in a new setting. One of my favorite photos was taken in February, 2020, right before the pandemic broke out. You can see that photo here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n

This image was taken with my\u00a0Sony A7R IV<\/a>\u00a0using my\u00a0Sony FE 16-35mm f\/2.8 Lens<\/a>\u00a0set on 21mm. The camera was set on\u00a0Manual mode with the aperture set at f\/11, shutter speed at 30 seconds, and ISO set at 100. I used a 6-stop Lee filter to extend the exposure time and a Circular Polarizing Filter to minimize the glare on the water. I also used a tripod for stability given the long exposure. This is a single image processed in Lightroom and completed in Photoshop using Nik Photo Efex 7.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
