I have always been attracted to shapes and this attraction is reflected in much of my photography work. \u00a0There is just something about symmetry that is intriguing to me. \u00a0Perhaps it’s the fact that I like things to be organized and this is the ultimate organization. I had seen the USAF Academy Chapel<\/a> from afar many times and decided during one of my trips to Denver that I would stop and photograph this very iconic structure.\u00a0You should plan to stop there the next time you are passing through. It is quite amazing.<\/p>\n

The predominantly red and blue stained glass casts a purple hue inside the chapel. \u00a0In addition, there are quite a few lines that project in different directions. \u00a0For this shot, I laid my camera flat on the tripod and mounted my widest angle lens. \u00a0I had to make sure that there were no people in the shot, including myself. \u00a0This lens is wide enough that you can literally shoot your feet while pointing straight out. \u00a0I was able to capture this very colorful image and I was very pleased with the results.<\/p>\n

This image was taken with my Canon Canon EOS 5D Mark III<\/a><\/span>\u00a0using my EF8-15mm f\/4L Fisheye\u00a0USM set on 15 mm. The camera was set on Aperture Priority\u00a0mode with the Aperture<\/a><\/span>\u00a0set at f\/4, shutter speed at 1\/40 at ISO 200. \u00a0I took a total of 5 bracketed images and used Photomatix to produce a HDR<\/a><\/span>\u00a0image. \u00a0Final work was done in Lightroom and Photoshop. \u00a0I used Nik Color Efex as well.<\/p>\n
