On my way back from doing so, I realized the perfectly still wind, along with the shadow cast by the nearby hills, created ideal conditions to photograph wildflowers. I found a grouping of Big Bend Bluebonnets among Marigolds while walking around in the area. This near-perfect Bluebonnet caught my eye. I used the Desert Marigolds nearby as a background. The camera was set on&nbsp;Manual mode with the aperture set at f\/2.8, shutter speed at 1\/100th of a second, and ISO set at 100. I used a tripod and my focus rail to capture eleven images which I stitched together using Adobe Photoshop using the focus stacking feature.
