This year, the flower did not disappoint. I was on my way back from Santa Elena Canyon after photographing the night sky and the sunrise when I spotted a huge mound filled with Blue Bonnets. I had to stop and look. It was then that I found this perfect specimen. The camera was set on\u00a0Manual mode with the aperture set at f\/2.8, shutter speed at 1\/100th of a second, and ISO set at 100. I used a tripod and my focus rail to capture eleven images which I stitched together using Adobe Photoshop using the focus stacking feature.
