I did not let the cold, wind, and rain deter my effort to photograph the great birds of the region. One of my favorite photos is the one of this Great Blue Heron landing on its nest. It was fascinating to watch them navigate the wind and land with great precision. The camera was set on Manual mode with the aperture set at f\/8, shutter speed at 1\/1250th of a second, and the ISO set at 250. I used a tripod for stability.
