This old mining town is very popular with photographers as there are many abandoned homes in the area that belonged to the mining community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gold Point was a very popular mining destination and a thriving community in the early 1900s. Today it sits mostly empty with only a few residents. The primary economic activity today is tourism. The camera was set on\u00a0Manual mode with the aperture set at f\/5.6, shutter speed at 20 seconds, and the ISO set at 4000. I used a tripod for this photo. I lit the inside of the buildings with some fairy string lights. The outside of the buildings was lit by the moon.
