A Big Bend Bluebonnet flower photographed along the Grapevine Hills Trail in Big Bend National Park. I was on my way back from photographing the sunrise at Balanced Rock when I spotted a patch of Texas Wildflowers. This one particular flower stood above the rest. I used a wide aperture and the focus stacking technique to achieve the blurry background.<\/p>\n

Big Bend Bluebonnet<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

This image was taken with my\u00a0Canon EOS 6D Mark II<\/a>\u00a0using my\u00a0Canon EF 100mm f\/2.8L Macro Lens<\/a>. The camera was set on Manual mode with the aperture set at f\/4.5, shutter speed at 1\/350th of a second, and the ISO set at 400. I used a tripod for stability and my Kirk Focusing Rail<\/a> to obtain 18 images which I brought together into one image using Photoshop and the focus stacking technique. I then finalized the image in Photoshop using Nik Color Efex Pro.<\/p>\n
