This one is of pollen and seeds from a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wildflower.org\/plants\/result.php?id_plant=PALA13\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Rock Rose<\/a>, a\u00a0native plant of Texas. \u00a0I was actually trying to do another <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Focus_stacking\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">focus stack<\/a>\u00a0like I did for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tkahler.com\/blog\/2015\/07\/23\/mud-dauber-wing-joint\/\">Mud Dauber wing joint<\/a> but the flower kept wilting. \u00a0So, I shook some pollen onto the surface and out came some seeds. \u00a0I mixed the pollen and seeds together. \u00a0I shot 36 images and combined them into this single image. \u00a0As you can see, the back side of the image is not in focus. \u00a0The reason for this is that I did not take enough images. \u00a0I probably needed 15 or 20 more to make the entire scene complete.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tkahler.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/20150723-Pollen-and-Seeds-Edit.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" data-attachment-id=\"1632\" data-permalink=\"https:\/\/tkahler.com\/blog\/2015\/07\/rock-rose-pollen-and-seeds\/rock-rose-pollen-and-seeds-2\/\" data-orig-file=\"https:\/\/tkahler.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/20150723-Pollen-and-Seeds-Edit.jpg\" data-orig-size=\"1500,1002\" data-comments-opened=\"1\" data-image-meta=\"{&quot;aperture&quot;:&quot;5.6&quot;,&quot;credit&quot;:&quot;Terry B. The total magnification is about 8x. The camera was set on Manual mode with the aperture set at f\/5.6, shutter speed at 1\/8 at ISO 100.
