The Bald Eagle (Haliaeetus leucocephalus) was named the national symbol of the United States by Congress in 1782. The camera was set on Aperture Priority mode with the aperture set at f\/8, shutter speed at 1\/250th of a second and the ISO set at 400. I used a tripod for this image to improve stability.
