I had the opportunity to hike the Hot Springs Canyon Trail from the trailhead near the Rio Grande Village to the Hot Springs. The trail is about 3 miles long and it is one of the best hikes in the park, especially during the spring months.<\/p>\n<p>We took the short hike from the trail to the overlook to photograph the sunset.\u00a0 The Hot Springs Trail overlook is located near the Rio Grande Village. It&#8217;s quite steep in spots and it is worth the effort. The views from that vantage point are spectacular. The camera was set on Manual mode with the aperture set at f\/11, shutter speed at 1\/400th of a second and the ISO set at 100. I used a tripod for stability.
