Another Desert Marigold (Baileya multiradiata) photograph from my recent trip to Big Bend National Park. This flower was photographed along the Grapevine Hills Trail after photographing the panorama of Balanced Rock<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Desert Marigolds were plentiful during this trip. Large clumps were visible throughout the trail and there were many very nice specimens. Not sure what the bug is on this one but it was very tiny.<\/p>\n

This image was taken with my\u00a0Canon EOS 6D Mark II<\/a>\u00a0using my\u00a0Canon EF 100mm f\/2.8L Macro Lens<\/a>. The camera was set on Manual mode with the aperture set at f\/4, shutter speed at 1\/500th of a second and the ISO set at 400. I used a tripod for stability and my Kirk Focusing Rail<\/a> to obtain 16 images which I brought together into one image using Photoshop and the focus stacking technique. I then finalized the image in Photoshop using Nik Color Efex Pro.<\/p>\n
