The creek is located North of Terlingua near Hen Egg Mountain. It was early in the day and too cold for the bee to fly away so it stood still long enough for me to capture the necessary images for this focus stack.<\/p>\n<p>Terlingua Creek is one of the tributaries to the Rio Grande and played an important role in the area&#8217;s mining history. The camera was set on Manual mode with the aperture set at f\/4, shutter speed at 1\/640th of a second and the ISO set at 800. I used a tripod for stability and my <a href=\"http:\/\/tkahler.com\/blog\/glossary\/kirk-fr-2-focusing-rail\/\">Kirk Focusing Rail<\/a> to obtain 15 images which I brought together into one image using Photoshop and the focus stacking technique.
