This one of the Valentia Lighthouse caught my eye and I thought it was an ideal photo to add to my portfolio. I hiked down a rocky outcrop to get access to an area where the lines in the rocks led to the Valentia Lighthouse.<\/p>\n<p>Valentia Island is a great place to visit. The Lighthouse is maintained by the\u00a0Commissioners of Irish Lights. The lighthouse light guides vessels from the sea and leads them through the northern entrance of Valentia Harbor past Harbor Rock. The site was originally home to a Fort believed to have been built in the 16th century. The camera was set on\u00a0Manual mode with the aperture set at f\/8, shutter speed at 1\/8th of a second and the ISO set at 100. I used a tripod for stability.
