I was driving back from my annual fall trip to the Big Bend area during the recent west Texas snowstorm when I ran a cross a pack of wild horses. I drove past them and I had to back up on the snowy highway to photograph them. I spent quite a bit of time waiting for them to stop eating and look up. I’m fairly sure this is a wild horse as i did not spot any markings that would tell me differently.\u00a0 This particular horse was the most cooperative. The snowfall was amazing and I had a great time photographing them. A once in a lifetime opportunity in that part of the world.<\/p>\n

This image was taken with my Canon EOS 5D Mark IV<\/a>\u00a0using my Canon 16-35mm f\/4L Lens<\/a> set to 400 mm. The camera was set on Manual mode with the aperture set at f\/5.6, shutter speed at 1\/2000th of a second and the ISO set at 400. I handheld the camera for this image. This is a single image processed in Lightroom and then completed in Photoshop using Nik Color Efex Pro.<\/p>\n
