This photograph was taken a few minutes before the one I posted yesterday. Same location, but a few feet to the left. As I mentioned yesterday, the spring season two years ago offered-up a very colorful desert floor. The only thing missing in this photograph is a flowering prickly pear cactus. I continue to return to Big Bend with hopes that I will see this wonderful scene again. I hear it\u2019s a once in a lifetime event.<\/p>\n

This image was taken with my Canon EOS 5D Mark III<\/a> using my Canon EF 24-105f\/4L Lens<\/a> set on 24 mm. The camera was set on Aperture priority<\/a> mode with the aperture set at f\/11, shutter speed at 1\/320th of a second and the ISO set at 1600. This is a single image processed in Lightroom and finalized in Photoshop using Nik Color Efex Pro.<\/p>\n
