The Cross at Slea Head is located about half way along the Slea Head Drive on the western-most part of Ireland at the end of the Dingle Peninsula. I drove this scenic route twice and both times it was amazing. There are some points along the drive that are quite stressful, especially in the thick fog. Single lanes with few pull-out areas. It was worth it though as the drive offers one of the most scenic views of the Blaskets Islands. There are also many famous landmarks along the route including the Gallarus Oratory which I photographed and posted earlier this summer. An interesting tidbit is that the Spanish container ship, Ranga, was wrecked at Dunmore Head, close to Slea Head after losing power in a storm back in 1982.<\/p>\n

This image was taken with my\u00a0Sony A7R II<\/a>\u00a0using my\u00a0Sony FE 16-35mm f\/4 Lens<\/a>\u00a0set on 35 mm. The camera was set on\u00a0Aperture Priority Mode\u00a0with the aperture set at f\/11, shutter speed at 1\/25th of a second and ISO set at 100. I hand-held the camera for this image. This is a single image processed in Lightroom and finalized in Photoshop using Nik Color Efex Pro.<\/p>\n
