This photograph falls more into the interesting category versus the artistic one. Well, the artist is the one that created the Washed Ashore exhibit that was showing at the\u00a0Reiman Gardens on the Iowa State University Campus in Ames, Iowa while I was visiting there earlier this month. I found the exhibit not only informative but also very well put together. I was very impressed with each of the creations but the shark definitely was my favorite.<\/p>\n

Washed Ashore<\/a> (TM) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to raise awareness of the trash dumped in our oceans. The organization coordinates volunteers who collect trash that has been removed from our beaches through cleanup efforts. The trash is then washed, sorted and prepared for the creation process. Each sculpture is designed and directed by a professional artist then formed through a collaboration of organization team members, volunteers and students. I highly recommend visiting the exhibit if it comes to your region.<\/p>\n

This image was taken with my\u00a0Sony A7R II<\/a>\u00a0using my\u00a0Sony FE 70-200mm f\/4 Lens<\/a>\u00a0set on 70mm. The camera was set on\u00a0Aperture Priority mode with the aperture set at f\/8, shutter speed at 1\/200th of a second and the ISO set at 200. I hand-held the camera for this photo. This is a single image processed in Lightroom.<\/p>\n
