I drove a lot (on the wrong side of the road, on the wrong side of the car) during my recent trip to Ireland. I completely covered the Dingle, Kerry and the Beara Peninsulas more than once. According to the car rental invoice I drove more than 2,500 Kilometers. Most of it on very tight roads. It’s a miracle that the car rental agency found the car in “perfect condition”. They say to never buy a rental car and I agree! \u00a0One of my favorite passes was along the road that divides County Kerry and County Cork in the Beara Peninsula. This view of Glenmore Lake is from the single-lane road that climbs up through the mountains there. I not only though it was a beautiful scene but it incorporated everything I remember about Ireland. Including the sheep. Of particular interest were the stones lining the road. I tried to get these in the photos to show you not only their great craftsmanship but also what separated us from the road and “down there”.<\/p>\n

This image was taken with my\u00a0Sony A7R II<\/a>\u00a0using my\u00a0Sony FE 16-35mm f\/4 Lens<\/a>\u00a0set on 16mm. The camera was set on\u00a0Manual mode with the aperture set at f\/11, shutter speed at 1\/25th of a second and the ISO set at 100. I used a tripod for stability and a polarizer to eliminate some of the glare off of the lake. This is a single image processed in Lightroom and finalized in Photoshop using Nik Color Efex Pro.<\/p>\n
